How do I turn on the Yale Smart Fingerprint Keypad?
The Yale Smart Fingerprint Keypad switches on automatically when the batteries are inserted.
To switch off the Keypad permanently, remove the batteries.
What is the expected battery life of the Yale Smart Fingerprint Keypad?
The expected battery life in 6 months.
Everyday Use
How many individual codes can I set up?
The Yale Smart Fingerprint Keypad provides access to up to 220 individual 4-6 digital codes to access the Smart Lock to which it is connected.
How many fingerprints can I register?
The Yale Smart Fingerprint Keypad can store up to 10 fingerprints. The fingerprint data is securely encrypted and stored on the keypad.
How do I check the battery level of my Keypad?
You can check the battery level in the Keypad's settings menu via the Yale Home app. The battery level will show as full, medium or low.
How do I unpair my Smart Keypad?
To disconnect the device from the lock, you must be within Bluetooth range of the keypad.
1) Open the Yale Home app.
2) Tap the gear in the toolbar and select “Keypad Settings.”
3) Select "Reset Keypad" under Utilities (you may need to scroll down the list).
4) Select “Reset”. The keypad will then be reset.
5) The message “Reset successfully” will appear on the screen. This completes the disconnection process and your keypad is no longer connected to your lock.
Resetting a Yale Smart Keypad 2 will delete all access codes associated with that keypad.
Troubleshooting
If the wrong code is entered too many times, will my Yale Smart Fingerprint Keypad be locked?
Yes, to increase security, if an incorrect code is entered five times, the keypad will be locked for five minutes and will not accept any further attempts to enter a code during this period.
If the wrong fingerprint is entered too many times, will my Yale Smart Fingerprint Keypad be locked?
Yes, to increase security, if an incorrect fingerprint is entered 5 times, the keypad will be locked for 5 minutes and will not accept any further fingerprint attempts during this period.
