You can unlock the Conexis® L2 Smart Lock a number of ways: Phone Tag, Key Tag or Key Card or the Yale Home app.
Simply lift the handle all the way up and hold until the motor stops running and the sound stops to lock the door. You will hear a sound once it is locked and the light will flash red. You can push down on the handle to check it is locked.
You can download the Yale Home app from the App Store or Google Play Store by searching 'Yale Home'.
Multiple users within your home can control the lock from their app. Simply download the app and follow the set-up instructions.
You can only unlock the door manually from the inside:
4x AA Alkaline batteries. It is not possible to use rechargeable batteries.
Based on average usage the battery life is expected to last for approximately 1 year.
The lock will play an audible tune as a ‘battery low’ warning when the batteries are approaching expiration.
To check the current battery level, please check this in the ‘Settings' section of the Yale Home app.
With home security at the forefront of its design, the Conexis® L2 Smart Lock has been awarded the BSI IoT Kitemark, guaranteeing it has achieved the highest level of security.
To achieve this BSI IoT Kitemark, the Conexis® L2 Smart Lock has undergone rigorous testing to ensure it functions and communicates as it should, and that the appropriate security controls are in place.
No, a mechanical multipoint lock mechanism cannot be locked without lifting the handle when it is in an unlocked state.
The lock will, however, relock after 30 seconds if it is unlocked and the lever handle is never depressed (so the multipoint lock is still in a locked state).
The purpose of this is that if you accidentally unlock the Conexis using the Yale Home App while you are away from your house, it will lock itself after 30 seconds.
App Access will allow the user to lock/unlock from their smartphone using the Yale Home App. You can add the user as a guest or an owner.
Guests can only lock and unlock the door via the app. You can also assign an access schedule to the app access. The user can have always-on access, reoccurring access or temporary access. Users won't be able to operate the lock remotely, change lock settings, use Auto-Unlock, view the guest list and activity feed or invite/remove users.
Owners will have full access to the lock from the app. They can lock /unlock, use auto unlock, invite/remove guests and owners, control all lock settings, view the activity feed and view the guest list.
Contactless Key is available for the Conexis smart lock only and allows the user to associate a pair a key tag, key card or phone tag with the lock. The key tag can then be presented to the Conexis and it will unlock it.
Personal Entry Code Only will allow the user to unlock the door via an entry code if you have a Smart Keypad associated with your lock. Entry codes can be permanent, reoccurring access or temporary access.
When you invite additional users to your lock, and select the Access Level "Guest", you will have to assign an access schedule: Always, Recurring or Temporary.
Always: Guests can unlock/lock at any given moment as long as they are within Bluetooth range of the lock (5 meters).
Recurring: Guests will have scheduled access that repeats. For instance, an Owner sets a Recurring access schedule for a housekeeper to access the lock every Tuesday between 9-10 AM.
Temporary: Guests will have a limited invitation (one-time use, limited to the date and time selected) to the lock. For instance, an Owner gives Temporary access to a neighbour to access the lock on Monday, May 23rd between 1-4 PM.
If you can't lock your Conexis® L2 by lifting the handle and the motor is not engaging, you should lift the handle, push and twist the thumbturn in a clockwise direction and your handle will be locked.
Simply push & twist the thumbturn anti-clockwise to unlock.
Watch our video to learn more here.
Please ensure that the thumbturn on the internal side has not been touched/moved until stated in the manual, as this will turn the actuator into the incorrect position.
If a series of beeps are heard from the Conexis® L2, this means the handle has not been lifted into the correct position meaning it is not locked.
If it is playing a series of notes (i.e. a tune) this will be the low battery warning. It could be an alignment issue, please see page 8 of the manual.
