How do I change the Key Pad PIN?
Enter setting mode: Press the Panic Button A, followed by entering the current PIN (factory default code is 0000) (The LED will now flash continuously.)
Press Panic Button B.
Enter new 4-digit PIN.
Press Arm button to confirm.
Exit setting mode: Press Disarm twice to quit the changing code process, or wait for 5 minutes for the Key Pad to quit test mode automatically. (The LED will now stop flashing.)

The warranty is covered by the retailer, normally for 2 years.
What is the maximum movement detection range of a PIR?
The PIRs will respond to movement of up to 12 metres away and 110 degrees when placed in the corner of a room, movement is detected from floor to ceiling.

Can I extend my entry and exit time on my Telecommunicating Alarm Kit?
Yes, this is done in the advanced settings menu on the control panel
There are no lights on my Door Contact / Keypad after I have changed the batteries

How often will I have to change the batteries in my alarm system?
This depends on how frequently the door is used, you may be required to change batteries every 6 months.
How do I reset the date / time on the control panel?

Step 1
Light the panel up with the flat of your hand.
Step 2
Press the blue menu button enter your pin code and press tick.
Step 3
Then scroll down to advanced settings.
Step 4
Then scroll right to the bottom of that menu to time and press tick.
Step 5
It’s a 24-hour clock, use the up and down arrows to change the time, then press tick when you’ve entered the hour and it will take you onto the minutes use the up and down arrows again and press tick again.

The move down to date and follow the same procedure using the up and down arrows.

How do I dial in or test the dialler function on my control panel?
Dial out test:
To test the dial-out feature ensure the control unit is plugged into the landline (This must be a paid for landline connection).
Press PR button or the button with the 3 lines, enter your PIN, press tick.
Scroll down to tel settings and press tick.
Scroll down to test report press tick.
Tick on the number you want a test call to go to (one of up to 3 you have added).
You can cancel this by pressing the backspace button.
Dial in test:
Call the landline number
Hang up on the first ring
Wait 5/10 seconds
Call back
The control unit will answer
Enter your PIN within 3 seconds
You will hear a long beep
Now you can do the following functions
Press 2 to arm
Press 3 to disarm
Press 5 to check if armed /Part armed or disarmed (Long single beep for armed, 3 beeps for part armed, 2 beeps for disarmed)
Press 7 turn the siren on
Press 8 turn the siren off
Press 9 to disconnect the call
How do I perform a factory reset on the EF Kit 2?

Step 1
Remove the mains power and turn the backup battery off, then re-connect the power whilst pressing the arrow up key on the control panel.
Step 2
A long beep will be heard, and the screen will say enter code.
Step 3
Release the arrow up, press the arrow up and then arrow down, arrow up and arrow down, arrow up and arrow down and arrow up arrow down. Then press the tick key, followed by the top right-hand side circle arrow, you are now back to factory settings.
How long will the siren sound for when triggered?
As a default it is 3 minutes, you can amend this in the advanced setting in your programme menu.
The display keeps reverting back to time & date, when I have armed the system
This is a security feature of the system.

Troubleshooting
I have forgotten my PIN
If the Key Pad code is accidentally forgotten, the Key Pad can be reset to factory default (0000) using the following steps:
Unscrew the two Key Pad case screws and remove Key Pad back cover (please disable tamper first.)
Locate and remove the battery.
Press the number 4 key at the same time as reinserting the battery.
Screw the Key Pad case together and re-learn the Key Pad into the system using the steps described above in this section.
How do I clear the fault log, warning triangle or warning beep on the control panel?
Please follow the instructions below for more information:
Step 1
Light the panel up with the flat of your hand.
Step 2
Press the blue menu button and enter your pincode, then press the tick – bottom right button by the screen.
Step 3
Then the screen will show “program menu, make a selection” briefly, then “fault log” should appear – press the tick button to go into the fault log, the screen will then tell you what the fault is.
Step 4
The most common fault messages will be low battery or tamper – check that the spring is depressed on the device. If the message includes DC this is a door contact, if it includes IR this is a PIR, BX is the siren, RC is the keypad or key fob however these will not apply if you have renamed the devices i.e. lounge (if you are unsure of where your devices are located please follow the walk test). If you are unable to change the batteries at this time, please light the panel up with the flat of your hand, press the blue menu button and enter your pincode, then press the tick. Scroll down to advanced settings and press tick – image, then scroll down again until you see warning beep and press tick, then make sure you tick warning beep off which will stop the beep but will not clear the fault.

Why does the Siren make an interrupted tone when sounding an alarm?
This is because the Siren has low batteries. Change batteries with new alkaline replacements.

Should the Red light flash on my PIR?
The Red light will flash on initialisation when the battery tab is removed, otherwise, it should not.
My Alarm panel is displaying ‘Alarm Alarm Alarm’ on my display

Press the green (disarm button) and enter your pincode.

Press tick until it says "alarm off".
My Alarm goes off as soon as I open the door
Any device that is triggered when you open the door needs to be set to entry. This can be checked or changed in the edit devices menu.
My Key Fob is not disarming the system
This default setting is that the Key Fob will only disarm when the entry countdown has been triggered. This can be changed in the programme menu, so you can disarm from outside the property.

Why is the LED flashing on my Key Pad when any key is pressed?
This is because the batteries are low. Please see instructions on how to change the batteries.

You have 1 hour to change the batteries. You cannot arm or disarm it during this hour unless you turn the tamper back on.

Why does my alarm keep triggering for no reason?
The siren tamper may not be fully depressed. Please check that the siren tamper switch/spring is depressed to its fullest. Some packing may be required if the siren is mounted on an uneven surface.

My PIR is not responding when I arm the system?
The PIR goes into sleep mode for two minutes. Please vacate the area covered by the PIR for a full 2 minutes before testing.
