The Yale Keyless Connected Smart Lock gives you the freedom to secure your home without the need for a physical key, making losing keys now a thing of the past. Unlike a traditional lock, the Keyless Connected Smart Lock gives you complete control over how you lock your home, whether that be with a PIN code, key tag, remote fob or even your smartphone when using the Yale Home App when connected to a Yale Smart Lock Module –sold separately. The Keyless Connected Smart Door Lock uses bank-level encryption, has incorrect PIN code features and also has an 80dB tamper alarm, so will sound an alarm when someone tries to gain access, offering an additional deterrent. Intelligently connected, the Keyless Connected digital door lock also works with leading voice assistants* Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa –“Alexa, is my front door locked?”
Unlock additional features with a Yale Smart Lock Module
Check-in from anywhere in the world, grant access, view your door lock/unlock the history and receive real-time notifications, in the event that your door is unlocked unexpectedly. To perform remote functionalities, choose from the Yale Sync Module (perfect if you own the Yale Sync Smart Alarm) or Yale Access Module and Connect Wi-Fi Bridge (ideal if you do not own a Sync product). All of this is made possible via the Yale Home App. Once connected to the App, you can secure, monitor and manage access to your home through your mobile device*. Tailored to suit your needs, all you need is your smartphone and with one tap, lock or unlock the door with ease.

What
is a Module?
Installing a Sync Module, Access Module and Wi-Fi Bridge or Z-Wave Module 2 into your digital door lock creates a link between your smart lock and your smartphone, giving you the ability to control your lock from anywhere in the world and receive real-time notifications, in the event that the door is ever unlocked unexpectedly. You will also be able to use leading voice assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa to unlock your door and check-in on the status of it. Please note, you cannot remotely lock the door using an app or voice and will require manual assistance.
Do I need a Module?
If you are looking to create a complete home automation system, then a module might be a good option for you. The Keyless Connected Smart Lock gives you access to the Yale Home App however without a Smart Lock Module, you cannot enable out of home control, compatibility with voice assistants or interoperability with other Yale products. How do I know if the Keyless Connected Smart Lock is

Is the Keyless Connected Smart Lock in Satin Nickel easy to install?

What
happens if the batteries run flat?
You will be alerted in advance if the batteries are running low. This will give you the opportunity to replace them before they run out of charge. Should the batteries be drained, there is a 9v battery connection port on the bottom of the device, which can be used to power the lock to gain entry using one of your credentials to your property – via your PIN Code, Key Tag or Phone Tag.
In the event that you have had to gain access to the entry via the 9v battery override, you will be required to replace your current batteries with 4 x AA alkaline batteries. It is not possible to use rechargeable batteries with the Keyless Connected Smart Lock in Satin Nickel as rechargeable batteries have a lower voltage.
What
happens if my internet goes down?
Should your internet connectivity go down, you can still operate your Keyless Connected Smart Lock via the PIN code, key tag or remote fob. Providing your smart door lock has a module and you are standing in front of the door, you will also be able to unlock your door using the Yale Home App. This is because the smart door lock with module uses Bluetooth to communicate with your mobile device, so does not solely rely on Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge is required to access the smart features of this product – wireless entry, real-time notifications, status updates and compatibility with leading voice assistants.

You can make your smart lock even smarter by connecting a Yale Access Module and Connect Wi-Fi Bridge, allowing you to check-in from anywhere in the world, remotely lock or unlock your door and lets you integrate with leading voice assistants – Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The Keyless Connected digital door lock has a tamper alarm and incorrect pin code feature. There's also no need to worry if the electricity goes down either, as the Keyless Connected is powered by 4 x AA batteries. It will even warn you when the batteries are low.
