Unlike a traditional lock, the Conexis® L2 Smart Lock allows you to check in from anywhere in the world and receive real-time notifications in the event your door is unlocked unexpectedly. Tailored to suit your needs, you can gain access to your property through a variety of ways. This could be via your key tag, phone tag, or your smartphone when using the Yale Home App.

Once they’ve gained access, you can manage who can enter your property by disabling or deleting users through the Yale Home App. Access can be scheduled or made permanent for ultimate control of your home. You can also monitor who comes and goes, knowing when loved ones arrive home safely. The Conexis® L2 in Black uses encrypted Bluetooth technology and features a tamper alarm, so will sound an alarm when someone tries to gain access, offering an additional deterrent. Intelligently connected, the Conexis® L2 digital door lock also works with leading voice assistants Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa – “Alexa, is my front door locked?”

What is a ‘Module’?
Installing the Access Module and Wi-Fi Bridge into your digital door lock creates a link between your smart lock and your smartphone. You are therefore able to control your lock from anywhere in the world and receive real-time notifications, in the event that the door is ever unlocked unexpectedly. You will also be able to use leading voice assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa to unlock your door and check-in on the status of it. Please note, voice assistants will not be able to lock the door for you as the Conexis® L2 has ‘lift-to-lock’ technology and will require manual assistance.
What happens if my internet goes down?
Should your internet connectivity go down, you can still operate your Conexis® L2 Smart Lock via the App, providing you are standing in front of the door. This is because the smart door lock uses Bluetooth to communicate with your mobile device, so does not solely rely on Wi-Fi connectivity.
How do I know if the Conexis® L2 in Black is the right lock for my door?
The Conexis® L2 Smart Lock is compatible with most UK ‘lift to lock’ multi-point locks, as the smart door lock simply replaces your existing cylinder and handles. A 92mm centre multi-point door lock type and between 44-70mm door thickness is required.

What happens if the batteries run flat?
You will be alerted in advance if the batteries are running low. This will give you the opportunity to replace them before they run out of charge. Should the batteries be drained, there is a 9v battery connection port on the external side of the Conexis® L2 Smart Lock, which can be used to power the lock to gain entry using one of your credentials to your property –via the Yale Home App, Key Tag, or Phone Tag.
In the event that you have had to gain access to the entry via the 9v battery override, you will be required to replace your current batteries with 4 x AA alkaline batteries. It is not possible to use rechargeable batteries with the Conexis® L2 in Black as rechargeable batteries have a lower voltage.
What is the battery life of the Conexis® L2 Smart Lock in Black?
Based on average usage, the battery life is expected to last for approximately 1-year. The smart lock will play an audible tune as a ‘low battery’ warning when the batteries are approaching expiration. To check the current battery level, this can be found under the ‘my locks’ section of the Yale Home App.
Is this smart door lock as secure as a traditional lock?
Yes. The Yale Conexis® L2 Smart Lock in Black meets the latest BSI IoT Kitemark. To achieve this new standard, the lock has undergone rigorous testing including quality, durability and physical attack testing. It has also undergone electronic manipulation and assessments, designed to test the electronic security of the smart lock to ensure it’s secure against any advanced hacking methods.
Fun Fact: The Yale Conexis® L1 Smart Lock was the very first lock to be British Kitemark approved.

If you purchase our Yale Smart Lock Installation, within 72 hours of purchase, one of our Yale Installation Partners, will contact you to arrange a convenient time and date for installation. This installation covers the lock included in the Conexis L2 kit. Our network of professional installers have undergone all the necessary background checks and training, so you can rest assured your home security is in good hands.
Please note: This installations service replaces the existing lock on your door. Modifications to the door are not included as part of this service.
